FD and FC 'vert owners
Just reading through GoodFella's thread brought to mind that I've encountered several people here who (like myself) own one of each of the above..
I just thought it interesting that so many of us are attracted by the same combination of vehicles...
How many other folk out there with one of each??

I'm fixin' to sell my 'vert, though . My wife and I bought it a year and a half ago since the '87 GXL I built for my wife crapped out, and it was a great car and a great deal.
The engine is getting tired on the 'vert and it's slow as hell, but man is it ever fun with the top down and a good song on the radio. But, I just can't justify hanging on to it right now .
For me at least, it was just good ol' coincidence that I've got a 'vert and an FD. If I was to go out and buy an FC, I'd be looking for a TurboII - gotta have the power .

On one hand, 500 motor hp, amazing good looks, and about as reliable as a military wife when her hubby is deployed to Iraq.
Other hand, 160 motor hp, pretty damn nice to look at, drop top, and reliable as hell.

NA FC's make damn great daily drivers. I bought a grey '86 base a number of years back for $500 that had bad oil seals in the motor. Rebuilt the engine, sucker ran AWESOME. Drove that daily while building up my TurboII.
Not to mention you can haul a ton of stuff in an coupe FC .

Interesting
My 'vert is a Turbo, which seems to be not the norm here, but they are just so completely different to drive that I'm awestruck each time I get in one
The 'vert is just pure fun and a super cruiser.. the FD is an adrenaline rush..

I have a turbo FC and a FD. The FC needs a rebuild. I wanted to do a big project on the FC, bridgeport turbo etc - But decided the money would be better spent on just getting an FD.
My plans for the FC are now to strip it and cage it and track it at club days (we dont really have autocross in NZ, but there are heaps of open club trackdays at various tracks). The engine will receive a rebuild, and emissions removal etc etc, but no crazy porting or anything too major. I believe with as much weight saving as possible - at stock power levels it should be more than a handful for someone beginning to track a car.
