FD as daily driver??

I wore through my clutch plate, which I knew was on it's way out(so I can't complain about it), and I broke my right rear axle. The car didn't run perfectly a lot of the time(which was frustrating), but it always ran.
I just recently bought my daily driver. I'm glad I did though. As mentioned before, Boston roads are a ******* joke. It's inexcusable for the amount of taxes and parking/speeding tickets that we pay. Buying the daily also freed me up to not really care if it does break.
I loved driving it everyday, but it's getting a little older( I put on 35,000 miles a year), so it deserves a break. I've had no problems in adverse weather, other than submarine-ing in the snow this year(anyone know of a periscope mod?), in fact, I feel better in it than in my Monte.
If you do some reliability mods before you set out to make it faster, you should be fine.
It's a great car, enjoy it.

Haha I got you beat, Hawaii has the worst roads in the nation, 80-85% of the roads here are rated by the national traffic whatever that they are in poor condition and another 5-8% are deemed in unacceptable condition (I dont even know what this means but I think i have driven on some of these streets). When I go up and down the hill I live on, i have already memorised about 10 fairly large pot holes and avoid them all the time. People think I'm fricken drunk or something cuz I swerve back and forth across the roads trying to avoid them haha. The only streets which are kinda ok are on the other side of the island where they just repaved all the roads but even then, they are going to crap already with the amount of potholes and other stuff.

Daily here, as long as there is a reputable shop around and you have the money to fix it IF it breaks, then you should be set. I've spent about $2~3K in 2.5 years in repairs. I chose to install new parts many times so I could have saved money, but I may get a beater just so I will enjoy my FD twice as much.
i too drive mine everyday about 20 miles city driving... the roads here in korea sucks... most of the 20 miles i'm lucky if i go high as 4th gear... i'm looking into buy a used scooter for the summer, save some gas...
Fikses...I drool everytime I see turbojeff's car.
My car has been a daily driver since I bought in November..now that I'm working out all the neglected parts of the car...it's becoming a VERY enjoyable daily driver.
Nothing like turning heads every couple of miles..hehehe.
It's actually a heckuva lot better now that my idle is finally f'ing normal!
