Unhappy FD cooling fans...PLEASE HELP

i just got my pettit streetport put together...and when i pulled the engine everything was fine...now when the car is just sitting with no key in it the electric fans come on at random times and sometimes dont shut off...theres a couple archives witht he same problem...but i cant get any info...it oculd be the water thermosensor..??..maybe i dont know...any info would help me out alot....thanx

I would check the relays (4 little black boxes near the intake). Also the wiring that goes from them to the fans. Mine was giving me the same problems, and it would kill my battery all the time. My problem was that the harness from the relays to the fans was totally corroded and was shorting out. I ended up just hard wiring the whole thing with butt-connectors and electrical tape. Now im problem free.

yea i was wondering the same thing...but the thing worked fine with the same relays and wiring and fans...its just when i put this engine in it started doing this stuff...
