FD Convertible???
You do realize your car isn't a factory ragtop car, don't you? Your car is best suited for a collector.
Also, I'm curious, is the top motorized or do you have to put it up and down manually?

Who gives a F**K what other people think anyway!?!? If you like it, that's all that matters!
It's still clean, Rare, Rotary Powered, performance machine that people would die to have!
I just would'nt track the car if it were mine lol.
not everyone tracks FDs. I think its an fine idea just like the amemiya car you can do it for show, i honestly dont think the car will be ruined at relativly stock standards. Id be curious how much the conversion would be too aswell as targa.

His prices are creat and all of his stuff is OEM directly from Japan.
Thanks for the link, I was checking his stuff out earlier he seems to have relatively cheap prices. As far as costs on the conversion, I don't know, but it is fairly complicated, keep in mind the roof and frame has to be cut and modified into the folding top and the hatch has to be cut in half and fab'd into some sort of trunk lid. My trunk is clean like is was stock but the way the top folds behind the seats blocks part of the view in my mirror, so I believe a little more tweaking is in order.

ABOUT THE TARGA FD....
a couple years ago I remember the original owner of the silver Targa FD saying that he could lift up the front of the car with a lift and the rear end would stay up as well.....its some company in Florida that did the targa conversion....they spot-welded the frame/bracketed it....the conversion cost him like 5grand...and he got like 3 extra sets of weather stripping!!

cid1000- you have no clue how glad i was to hear you say you dont like the rims. that just kills the car (in my opinion.) by the sounds of it, you seem to have the right idea. good luck with it, keep us posted on how it turns out.
seattle7- it's true not everyone tracks their FD, but everyone should track their FD. it's what the car was made for. Cid- i dont suggest you track your car, just for your own safety. i've heard your car "handles like a banana" according to someone who drove in it before you bought it, so i cant imagine it would do so hot on the track. how rigid is the body? is there a lot of flex when you're driving it? <damn i want your car>

I can tell you one thing for sure I'm head over heels in love with my FD, shes got a semi-fresh rebuild with only 18k on the rotors and runs like a dream. Its time to freshen up some of the hoses, misc bushings, and a new brake proportioning valve.

Do I hear a meet and greet sometime!? I know we have a good number of owner in the area from the CFA meets, and i know there's ppl that never made it out.
My trunk is tiny! it needs a new pneumatic shock to lift it and it really doesn't lift that high but i get by. The cuts/molding were done really well it looks great, I will try to get some more pics up on here with a quickness but I have yet to take em.
And I am def, down for a meet here soon I'm itchin to get into the scene and that seems like a good spot to start.
