Here's something to consider, would you daily drive a Porsche Carrera GT or a Ferrari F40? Probably not. While the FD might not cost as much as those, I would put it in the same class: pure sports car. I might be wrong, but I don't believe Mazda built these cars to be driven every day, and I think that's one of the reasons people start to have problems with them.

I recently purchased an FD, and I drive it once or twice a week, and only about 30 miles each time. Crazy maybe, but IMO that's the type of car this is. Treat it like an exotic, because these days it is.

My FC was reliable compared to my FD...

its a huge tradeoff.. My TII had maybe 150 WHP, and my current car had 340 before it blew, and will have more than that with the new rebuild
