I am selling mine, but it has a salvaged title. But the price reflects that.

am I the only one who's going to ask you what you plan to do with the car? Street car only? street/track?

I wanted a base/R1 car so that I'd fit better with a helmet, but found a touring that had all the goodies that I couldn't turn down, so I'll have to do race seats...oh well.

Gordon is absolutely correct. Look closely at the owner and how they treated the car/used the car. I like cars that have had less owners as well because there's less chance of little problems that keep getting passed from one person to another.

well, if he wants to mod the car and believes that the owner of the touring has done them the way he would want, then he can save himself some money up front by buying that car.

Of course as we all know, the exterior condition of two FDs are rarely the same, as well as interior, and both are more expensive to fix properly than mods, so that's where I'd focus my attention.

The touring does have all the first mods i was going to install on it... I love the leather seats over the R1 as well. I just wanted a lower milage car if i was was going to be spending alot of money. Is it common that you see a little bit of oil around the Y pipe I mean a very little bit or would this be something to worry about

Unbelievable! You mean he wants money to commit a felony on your behalf? The nerve of some people. You ask them to do a little thing such as committing fraud so you can illegally avoid taxes and they suddenly decide they need to get compensated for it. I don't blame you for not wanting to buy the car from him. If he is so willing to be bribed to commit fraud you don't know if you can trust him on anything else regarding the car. What is the world coming to when folks won't lie and cheat for you FOR FREE?

Oh yeah, and now we know how trustworthy you would be to deal with.

A little bit overly defensive, me thinks. Couldn't be a little bit of a guilt complex, could it?

if u gonna mod it anyways...all those stock part doesn't mean much...sooner or later u gonna replace it...get the cheaper one with mod..if u consider the aftermarket added value to the car the touring is probally worth more..also its always good to see a mod set up first hand first before u start setting up your own(^_^)

Yeah, I'm old and funny looking. I have had the advantage of experience however. One of the things that I've learned is that ethics do matter for something.

FWIW, the 13 yo girl comment was more than a little uncalled for.

Good luck on the FD though.

I disagree with buying virgin cars and modifying them as needed. Call me cheap, but I prefer to buy a well modded and sorted car for a fractinn of the cost that it took to mod it. That way you spend minimal on upgrades because someone else has already done it for you. Think of it as getting a really good deal on used intercooler, turbo, electronics, etc, except you buy all of your used parts at once. The only stock thing that I really wanted was the wheels and I have since purchased a set of those with brand new tires for $400.

By the way, I would go for the R1!
