FD bushes query

Hey lads and ladies

Any advice appreciated.

Located in Brisbane, Australia. Three different mechanics can’t find or order the parts I need.

After a couple of hours searching the forums, I find my self still not sure which bushings I need to replace and where to buy them.

Ive attached a description from the last mechanic I was at who is asuspension specialist.

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction as driving my 7 isn’t enjoyable when it feels like the rear end is about to snap :/

You can find front and rear suspension part numbers here:

https://www.jimellismazdaparts.com/s...roduct=1944421

https://www.jimellismazdaparts.com/s...roduct=1857704

You can find the parts fiches here:

Mazda RX-7 Reference Materials

You probably need a full pillowball set (6 bushings; search for many threads on these) in addition to the other bushings.

Look into Superpro bushings, they are Australian based and make really quality polyurethane bushings. They have a master kit that will replace every bushing you are having problems with.

Are you having to fix this to get it registered/past inspection or is this a mechanic telling you what you will need? That seems like an excessive list like he's looking for problems.

There are a few threads in the FAQ about replacing the rear pillowball bushings. Part numbers should be there. Those pillowball bushings do wear out and cause lots of noises. They also have dust boots.

Do note that those pillowballs are not replaceable with poly bushings since they need to articulate in an arc. Poly bushings don't articulate.

Some people switch over to poly bushings in the locations that don't arc - like the inner bushes of the upper control arm. I personally find the poly bushings a bit harsh but ymmv as they say.
