FD ABS Shroud

Hey does anyone know where we can buy the ABS shroud? I think the early production models didn't come with the shroud, I see some other engine bay pictures with the ABS cover. During hot days, my brakes get really soft. I'm thinking I could just bend some aluminum and put some gold wrap around here.

Are you talking about the heat shield? Every FD I've seen has one. Yours may have been removed by a previous owner, I typically take it off when doing major work on the turbos, gives a lot more room.

May want to post up a picture of your ABS pump.

Here's a picture of the ABS shroud. Not sure if previous owner worked on the car, but she was in a front end collision where the airbag deployed. I can't see the abs shroud being touched. Got her when she was at 33k miles.

Also Dale, mind if you check this out for me too?

Yep, you just need that heat shield. I would get with Fritz or post a WTB for one, that should be crazy cheap.

Also, I think you have the original vacuum hoses for the brake booster, read up on the brake booster recall. I think you can still get that recall kit new. The check valve is in the side over the turbos and the check valve cooks and you have no power brakes. The update has the check valve on the brake master side. Literally takes 1 minute to update the hoses.

I'll check for the recall asap. Just ordered a boost gauge (finally) and catch can

I'm still running on the original type of tires. 19 year old bridgestones lolol so that'll be another cost for the bb
