Thumbs up An FC guy, feeling Waaay out of his league

So I have an '87 rx7 right now, I've wanted a 3rd gen, like every other 2nd gen owner truely wants, whether they'll admit it or not. Anyways, I don't actually know a hell of a lot about the third gen rx to be perfectly honest. So maybe you guys could help me out here. Are they as unreliable as everyone says, I mean my 87 is totally reliable, I basically change the oil once and a while and it's great. Also, By the time I grad from college I'm going to be 4 years older, so getting a car made in 1993 might not appeal to me so much as it would be an 'old" car by then. So up to what year was the fd produced until?

Thanx a lot guys.
