FC Coolant Temp Sensor

So I pulled my engine to reseal front cover and oil pan and was trying to refresh as much stuff as possible while I had good access. I was researching the forum to learn where the coolant switch for the fans was and I ran across Dale Clarks thread about the lower temp sensor from the FC’s. Apparently the stock FD came on at 108C (226), which is about too late, and the FC one came on at 95C (203F). That still seemed a bit high but I figured it would be worthwhile. It was a pretty old thread so as I was ordering a few more things from Ray Crowe I asked him if the FC sensor was still a thing, he didnt say, just that it was $72 so I said ok. When it arrived it had “80” stamped on it so I asked him if that meant 80C and he said yes, which equates to 176F! It’s pretty easy to change when you have the water pump housing off, so got it done. Engine is back in the car, and I cant verify what temp fans come on, but they seem to come on pretty soon and cycle back off because it never got that hot to start with, so I’m pretty happy with the mod. You guys may already know all of this, but it’s the first I’ve heard of the 176F sensor and thought I would share for the guys that may not know. Part # is PN41-18-840
