FC coil an upgrade? Stock mounting holes?

I want to upgrade my ignition with an amplifier, and I think my coils may be weak so I am going to replace those too. I know a lot of people run FC coils. Is this an upgrade from the FD coil? And is it only the leading coil? I've heard that these are more bulletproof than Fd coils.

I have a Charles7 coil relocation kit in, so would an FC coil even fit in this?

I'm still also undecided on which ignition amp to get. Do they all do pretty much the same thing? The Jacobs rotary pack is cheaper than the HKS, but is there a difference?

I've run a MSD 6A on the FD leading coil for years and recommend it; it works fine. I wouldn't bother with anything that doesn't multispark and I would not bother with the trailing side unless you're running very high boost levels.
