fast idle cam???
i'm trying to check my fast idle cam operates correctly. the rod does move out, can't tell if it separates or nor. the car is cool now. it's 70 degrees. the roller is between the "a" and "b" marks. when moving it by hand it separates at "b" mark. service manual says it is supposed to separate at "d". where the hell is "d". there are only 3 marks. does it need to be adjusted???

That I don't know, the manual is worthless here. I ran the rod adjust screw down a good ways so it seperated at "d". Made all the difference with cold starts.
Edit: The rod was never touching the cam beforehand on mine. The fast idle cam is just that, it'll give you about 300 extra rpm to smooth out colder starts.
