Fast and furious car, what the???

http://www.sounddomain.com/member_pa...e=Mazda%20RX-7

Is this guy serious? 710 HP... yeah right, at 54 lbs of boost...

And with all that HP, only 11.5 on the 1/4 mile.

Tell me what you think about that...

:p

I don't get the space invaders crap on the side. How could anyone stand to be seen in that car? It makes me sick...I want to toss my lunch.

On top of it, the owner has to lie about the HP it produces.

Of course...with all of that crap on the car, he might need over 700 HP to get an 11.5 in the 1/4. The stickers alone must add a few hundred pounds.

in his defense even though i don't know him i think someone copied the images from speedoptions.com and posted them there with false info.
sounddomain is for music right, and there isn't one pic of a stereo with the exception of the factory radio. besides that my alpine rep told me that the system did not exist in that car it was movie magic. (i belive that system is actually in a supra.)

Well i don't remember seeing the stereo system of the rx7 in the movie but you might be right, it might be someone who putted pictures of the car and wrote false numbers.

I have seen his car in a magazine, i don't remember which one but i don't think he claimed he had 710 HP.

you are probably right but the guy who wrote this, if he beleived what he wrote was one big jerk.

3675...

You guys happen to glance at the curb weight? 3675lbs? Thats nearly 1,000lbs over stock! What could you do to anf FD to make it wiegh that much, unless half the local hockey team rode shotgun. My guess is the numbers are made up, any right minded racer would take the weight off the car, not add a grand to it.

my .02 cents...

He cranks up the stereo while sitting on the line before running the 1/4. All I can remember is it showing a bunch of subs in the back.

Not saying the numbers are true cause I don't believe them for one minute, but the extra weight could help explain the low 1/4 time w/ so much power.

Wish I had a printout of the ebay auction so I could match up the mods.

Veilside everywhere! It was way overdone but if I weas offered the keys I'd take her. No way it's got 700hp on stock twins!

I can't stop laughing at this car wherever it pops up to be jocked though. It's literally got nothing on it. Most everyone's car here has at least what this car has under the hood, and it has a few pedals and stickers in the interior, big deal. It's 350 if he's lucky.

Or maybe the polished manifold and painted metallic stock plastic piping make all of the difference?

Oh ... if it says it has a Power FC w/ Commander then why does it have an S-AFC mounted on the dash?

No way does it have anywhere near that HP! As of right now the motor is toast anyway. It is very nice now though.....my friend just painted it before SEMA. It looks really good!

I'm sure you all know that the NOS was in a replica for the movie as well as the stereo.

As for what the car has on it: it has alot more than what you think.....Apexi N1 coil-overs=$$$ The PFC is just there for looks though. The guages alone=$$$ All in all....I was not very impressed with the car at 1st....but now it is really nice thanks to a good paint job and a good detail job. Oh and the stickers look pretty good too since I stayed up all night putting them on

as you all may know, there are like. . .5 versions of the "Fast -N- Furious 7" roaming around the states. everyone says "I own this car, it was in the movie, wanna buy it?"

If i correctly remember, the auction from ebay for the same car, had only exterior mods, a XS Eng. FMIC, exhaust, and only a few power mods that would only be seen by the naked eye (i.e. intake, shiney things, etc.) I thought about placing a bid on it when it was on ebay, but when i did the math for horsepower based on the upgrades, it wasnt worth 50k+, even if it was in the movie.

The white rx7 that lost to the 240 at "race wars" on the otherhand (which was also ebay'd). . . .that had a nice amount of bite behind it. The mod list for it went on for a few paragraphs.

To make sure everyone is correct.....the car that I was talking about IS the F&F rx7. It's owned by a guy that works at Apexi and usually taken around by another guy that works at Apexi. It actually has more than you think done just like what I said in the other post.

RedR1: the car was never sold....if you still want it, it's worth more now than it was. I can assure you of that.....the paint is flawless! I don't mean more than $50k....I just mean it's alot nicer now than before. It is the real car....you can ask the movie co. who's car they used. They will say it is Keith's car.
