Fair price for a tranny

My 5th gear syncro is out and tranny has 130K on it. So I am wondering if 750 for a tranny shipped with 35k on it sounds fair or if I should rebuild mine. I feel I would be better off just buying it, but would like opinions from others. Thanks

i think rebuilding is much better. It only cost me 500 to have my whole tranny rebuilt with new syncros and a new 5th gear

hi there, i remember u said you got ur tranny rebuilt at r&r in la verne? I called them and they told me a basic rebuild would be 500, but replacing all syncros would be much more?
just curious how you get it done for 500? did you bargain with them or anything?

at R&R rotary, they now charge $550 for basic tranny rebuilt.

basic rebuilt covers labor, and syncros if i remember correctly.

Rotary Power(SP?) in Gardena charge close to one grand for complete tranny rebuilt.

hope this helps
