factory alarm

I just bought an FD today

I took it out for a spin, parked it for about an hour, went back out to give my friend a ride in it, I opened the door and the "alarm" went off, headlights going up and down, horn honking and all that, and i don't have a remote for it or anything, so i called the owner, he said the car has never done that before, so what I had to do was pull a fuse i believe it was labeled B1 or B2, my question is how could I safely disable it?

could leaving that fuse pulled work.

anyone ever had something similiar happen to them

Congrats on the new FD...

Alarm disables when you use the key to unlock the door. It arms when you lock the door from the inside. I did that on my old FC years ago too.

you can disable it by disconnecting the lock sensors on the doorlocks... i.e. unplugging them.

Mine also activates when locking the door with key externally. When armed, you'll see the amber alarm indicator on the center console blink every 3 seconds.

when my sensor door clip thingy was removed my alarm still armed and from the clip being off i could not turn off my alarm.

ZB helped me with my alarm and he figured out a way to disable it at all times. he grounded a green wire from the door sensor lock clip thingy. i dont know what to call it. haha, but it is behind the drivers door panel.
