A/F meter problem
I have an Apexi turbo timer with the built in A/F meter and a Defi D-gauge A/F meter . The Defi is my primary gauge but it does not seem to work right at all . At WOT my Defi reads 14.7 and the Apexi reads 11.8-12.5 . Is it because they are both trying to draw too much signal off of the O2 ? Or do I just have a defective gauge ? Any feed back would be great . Thanx .

OEM O2 sensors have such a steep slope on either side of stoich that they are little more than on-off switches for the ECU to watch. Any meter that tries to read such a steep slope without calibration to the particular sensor is a crap shoot. I use the O2 meter on my J&S to see if the system is basically working and in closed loop but rely on a wideband for meaningful readings.

what is the best and most cost effective lamda wideband 02 sensor out there on the market? I figure buying one of those could save a motor as well become helpful tuning. Anyone try one of those home made ones?
