a/f gauge question

im thinking of getting the autometer a/f gauge. My question is, I found that it ties into the o/2 sensor reading from the ECU harness. Is the stock o2 sensor accurate to give an accurate reading or is this gauge just for the bling bling effect?

I just read that most car's O2 sensors are either reads lean or rich.. I'm not sure about the FD O2.. I think it reads all in between.. I have autometer a/f.. and it goes up and down.. but i'm not sure how accurate it is..

You could go with wideband set up.. but i been reading that you shouldn't drive with it all the time.. unlike piston engine cars, 7s burn oil and it will shorten the life of the O2 sensors..

With the stock O2, it would just be an interior ornament.

Do a search on "DIY wideband". There was a thread about creating a cheaper alternative to the expensive wideband O2's that are available.

I have a gReddy 4 Wire one that was on my car for all of 3 weeks or so.

I decided with the money I was spending to get an FJO unit.

I'll sell you one pretty reasonably if interested.
