a/f gauge question
im thinking of getting the autometer a/f gauge. My question is, I found that it ties into the o/2 sensor reading from the ECU harness. Is the stock o2 sensor accurate to give an accurate reading or is this gauge just for the bling bling effect?

I just read that most car's O2 sensors are either reads lean or rich.. I'm not sure about the FD O2.. I think it reads all in between.. I have autometer a/f.. and it goes up and down.. but i'm not sure how accurate it is..
You could go with wideband set up.. but i been reading that you shouldn't drive with it all the time.. unlike piston engine cars, 7s burn oil and it will shorten the life of the O2 sensors.. |

There was a thread about creating a cheaper alternative to the expensive wideband O2's that are available. |
I agree with Mahjik.. I'm also searching to get a wide band Do it yourself one..

I have a gReddy 4 Wire one that was on my car for all of 3 weeks or so.
I decided with the money I was spending to get an FJO unit. I'll sell you one pretty reasonably if interested. David |
