it seems like a waste to me. don't you truly appreciate these cars when you drive them?

Haha, Ill be the first to call you out on that one. But in general I think all the colors look great, but if you dont like the Montego Blue/ Tan you are certainly entitled to that opinion. Personally, I really like it.

But at least we can all agree on the car itself!

I know of people with Grand Nationals that used to drive the cars every weekend with the odometer / speedo unhooked for years on end. I think one of them was a GNX with the window sticker still in the car. I seem to recall the miles being lower than I watched him drive in a weekend.

I saw what appeared to be a Spirit R, at sevenstock, two or three years ago. Silver/gray exterior. Don't remember what the interior color was. It was on display in the courtyard at Mazda R&D in Irvine. It was locked, so you couldn't check the mileage. Looked like it had never been driven. Tires still had all the nubs on them. Serial number was 00001. Maybe it was a prototype, but appeared to be a fully functional car. Hood was never opened

Made me drool

Oh yeah, it was a left hand drive!!!

That was a '93-'95 US model converted to spec by Mazda North America, IIRC. It's not posing if its the manufacturer that does it I suppose.

I bought my Montego Blue FD last November with only 5,142 orginal miles- it was sold new in April 1997 to the first owner who I bought it from. It also has a 12/95 build date- it was a weird case, but it was like going back in time and getting to buy a brand new one!!!! It had just been sitting in this guy's heated garage in RI for 7-8 years. Some people are nuts!!!

*puts on flame suit*

hey man don't bash untill you try, my bud has a right hand 1990 Nissan 300ZX, that thing is really fun to drive, cause 1 it's moderaty fast and 2nd it's right hand drive, to me is seems "natural" to be on that side, i got another friend importing a 1990 skyline this week (he's buying this week be here in 1-1 1/2 months) and it will be right hand drive. i find it alot more fun then noraml left hand drive, consider me a nut but holy crap it feels so much better to be on the "right" (ha ha ha no pun intended) side, if you get a R 34 Try it RHD first then if you really don't like it convert it, but i tell ya i think RHD owns LHD

As all R's were destined for the Japanese market only, it's highly unlikely any of them would be LHD..

Maybe it was a conversion ........ I don't know?? It was a left hand drive car, and the serial number was 00001. I thought it was a prototype. Maybe that is not correct??
