exterior door handles interest
ok, I'm not sure if this belongs in the for sale area or here but whatever. I am trying to gage interest in aftermarket exterior door handles. I've noticed alot of people seem to have problems with theirs and was thinking I could make some of my own. I was thinking either injection molded plastic or cnc aluminium (lots more expensive). Let me know what you guys think.

You'd definitely have interest - the handles from Mazda are $185 apiece from Ray Crowe. Tricky part would be making a complicated part AND make a little profit for under that price.
The hole that the lock cylinder goes in is semi-complicated if you use the OEM wire retension method - that would be tricky to get right. Most of the rest isn't too bad, especially if you go for a "new" design and not a copy of Mazda's design.
For me, I got my new door handle, and I now know I need to lube it yearly. I don't expect to need another for a VERY long time .

If you could fab something all power to you.. I've had and sold maybe 3-4 sets.. and by looks of it, you just have to deal with the ones Mazda made.. But i'm interested if its cheaper and stronger??
