expert opinion needed (possibly clogged catalytic)

so... here's what my car has been doing lately:

1. when my car is cool (not cold) it feels a little like it chuggs a bit when accelerating gently, never did this before.
2. when i'm running at crusing rpm (3k-ish) my car has been running hotter than normal (5-10C warmer than last year in same weather conditions) but definitely is not overheating 99C is warmest its ever been
3. i have not calculated my mpg lately, because of sticker shock, so i can't be sure if its going down at all.

and here are my questions:

1. does this sound like my catalytic could be clogged a little? moderately? badly?
2. i already have an intake, dp, and cat back with a conservatively tuned PFC (by Demetrios). will my car be ok if i add a high-flow catalytic without having the PFC retuned? (i know, i should just ask Dee this, but he's busy and i don't wish to bother him with stupid questions that ANYONE can answer... anyone but me obviously). i don't race the car at all, right now its just my DD and has about 53k miles on it. the pre-cat was removed around 32k miles.

i would REALLY appreciate some input from the wise-FD-edlers. thanks in advance.

p.s. feel free to PM me if you don't wish to bump this up again.

your wondering if a clogged cat is causing increased Temps???

Easiest way to see if your cat is clogged is to do a visual inspection.. IF your boost pattern is fine and has not changed then im 95% sure your cat is fine. If your getting hessitation it can be 1 of many things. Be a little more detailed and i will try to help you the best i can.

You can easily test the exhaust system's backpressure as a check of its health. That way you'll know for sure if you have an exhaust problem BEFORE throwing money at it.

Even though your PFC is "conservatively tuned", a hi-flow cat will significantly increase the flow efficiency of your engine when combined with your other mods. I'd recommend against doing it (or at least going full throttle) without a retune.

that's what i thought too...

well, thanks guys... i dunno what to do now but will be having to crack that bastard off the bottom of my car and take a look. as far as the car temps goes, its only moved above 95C twice this summer and never past 99C so i realize its stupid for me to worry about overheating, however, it NEVER went past 95C last summer except for when one of my cooling fans stopped functioning properly... and that's already been checked this time around. i just can't think of anything else it could be, i've checked (or had someone else check) all the usual suspects and she's healthy, just warm under the collar.
