Unhappy exhaust tip fell off...this sucks!

Hmmmm, well I guess I definitely need to determine which exhaust I am going to go with.
I don't know when this happened, but it just sucks....looks like hell....I don't even want the car to be seen this way!

Tips on muffler fell off and you suggest removing the cat?

I'm surprised it lasted this long. Mine fell off years ago and it's basically what got me into modding. I didn't want to pay for a new stock catback and found www.rx-7.com ... Next thing I knew, I had a dp, hi-flo and a new catback in the mail.

Good excuse for a new cat-back but, if you aren't ready, just have a muffler shop weld on a couple of tips.

When I put my M2 dual on I was hanging onto one of the stock tips will I removed the rear rubber exhaust hanger. It broke off in my hand. Whoops!

The M2 dual is still my favorite along with the RB. The M2 just has a little more attitude at high RPM

I would imagine it's the same with any upgraded exhaust but the first time I went out with the M2 (that was the only change made) I couldn't beleive it! My car had a downpipe for quite some time and was doing 10-8-10 through the stock cat and catback. Doing nothing but adding the M2 brought me to 12-14-12! Eeeek! At that point I put in the biggest pill that RP had and that brought it down to 11-10-11. After my cat died I replaced it with another used (but much lower mileage) stock cat. My boost went back to 12-13-12 and at that point I installed a needle valve which I now keep set to 10-9-10.

I really like the Racing Beat to but the M2 has a distinctive howl once the second turbo comes on. Most people outside the car describe it as turbine like or a sort of whooshing. The worst comment I ever got was a gal who claimed it sounded like an airline toilet flushing when I went past on the track at speed Still not too loud but it sounds better on the track than the RB IMO. Of course the quality of "noise" is highly opinionated by us all.

We're saying that thats such a small issue compared to everything else that could have happened (engine blows, accident, car stolen, you die, etc.). You're lucky.

This thread reminds me of my favorite bumper sticker seen on an original Mini Cooper at an autox: The parts falling off of this car are of the finest English craftsmanship.

That makes me laugh everytime
