exhaust temp warning light

exhaust temp warning light

if the exhaust temp warning light comes on when just the key is in on position, but the car is not running, does that mean something is wrong with one of the sensors? (just installed pfc 1 day ago)

idk mine does it, and it always did, i think it is just to tell u its workn =D

Has anyone ever had the thing coming on? I don't think I have ever heard of any other car having this feature.

This is described in the owners manual. The manual can be downloaded if you do not have one.

The light is supposed to come on briefly as part of a start up procedure - i.e. circuit check. Most of the time you never notice it because you are not looking at it when you turn the key. I am not sure how long mine stays on or if it is on when the engine starts...
