exhaust soot
can someone recommend a "safe" cleaner to remove the exhaust soot from my bumber and taillights. I bought simple green which someone recommended but now i hear that it is not good for the paint. What about bug and tar remover?

Not saying that SG wouldn't be safe on paint - but the damn stuff eats aluminum!!!

Yes, Bug & Tar Remover will work, however you should use it before washing your car. Get all the soot off the back, then wash the entire car. That Bug & Tar remover leaves an odd shine if you do it after washing the car..
