It lets you know that you cat is overheated using a sensor under the passenger seat... I don't think anybody has ever had theirs turn on . The one behind it is for the stock alarm. It should bink every 5 seconds or so when the alarm is engaged, and it lights up when you lock your car.

it lets you know if ur passengers' shoes are about to catch on fire, since the floor has heated to over 220F, IIRC...

mines turned on before. It turns on if ur coolant sensor light goes on...at least thats what happened when my coolant buzzer came on. I noticed that the overheat exhaust system light came on as well.

Don't worry about it, I'm just a grumpy bastard.

But it's good to not waste bandwidth by posting questions that are easily answered by a quick read through the old manual....

And of the possible choices, which cools well and doesn't cost 1500 bucks?

HKS and Greddy 2row Front Mounts are less that 1500 at rx7store.net

HKS: $1289

Greddy: $930

Most people like the Greddy the most. I have the HKS and love it.

Haha, I apologized in my second post...sort of.

RotaryMagic: Just look for a used SMIC, like the PFS, Pettit, Greddy, or M2/ASP. I picked up a used PFS intake and SMIC for $900 (list would have been like $1700). But if you just bought the car, there are other more pressing reliability issues before upgrading the IC.

I'm kind of scared for your car if you aren't capable of running a web search...

BTW, you don't need a dual oil cooler upgrade yet anyway.

well I've already taken care of getting a fluidyne radiator, hose job, downpipe, highflow cat, rearsection, flywheel so far. I assumed dual oiler coolers was the next step as I have a brand new OEM AST(yeah I know it's not the best idea but it is brand new and how could it possibly crack in a few weeks?) and then I was looking into a miata fanswitch thingie as I live in houston. I guess a turbo timer should come shortly too.
