Exhaust Combos to clean up smell and sound?
For those of you with overly smelly exhausts, what primary injectors are you running? With stock 550's you should be able to lean out the idle enough to remove most of the smell even with an open exhaust. My old car had 850's in the primaries and I couldn't get the idle lean enough to reduce the smell, I hated it. My new car smells a bit, but it's not bad at all.
As for cats, I had a SMB metallic cat and the build quality was amazing but the cat was fried after about 1k miles. Before that I used an N-Tech high flow (non-metallic) and it lasted forever. But even that had some smell without an air pump. The only way to truly get rid of the smell is to have an air pump.
That being said; I would start by leaning out your idle and getting the RB dual exhaust. If that’s not enough add a good cat (metallic ones seem to have trouble with rotaries). If that still doesn’t do it, add an air pump.

I noticed absolutely no difference after removing the AP, along with all other emissions.
And I'm not seeing a cat-back having much influence, good or bad, on exhaust fumes.
