Unhappy Exhaust Bites The Dust

Well, my stock exhaust is on it's last leg... I mean tip . It literally fell off due to rust and corrosion. I was looking at the the Racing Beat cat-back as a replacement, but I'm torn between the single and dual tips. I need some help, guys. Single or Dual?

RB Dual tip is the way to go.

Looks great, and is very stealth, as it almost looks stock. It sounds really nice, and isn't too loud.

I've heard both in person and it's very hard to decide. I like the looks of the dual but the sound of the single, good luck choosing

dual tip all the way. i have a RB dual on mine and at first it wasnt very loud. once i threw the MP on, holy ****. all i can say is, "BAM, SPICE IT UP A BIT". its loud enough for me and from what i understand only top end power is gained by going to a larger non restrictive exhaust. also a chance of getting boost creep and its LOUDER. if you dont mind addressing those issues than my vote would be for the JIC Ti. that looks trick if you ask me and only 8.5lbs. if i had to do it again, i would toss a coin up for either the RB dual or the JIC. i dont mind the noise that it emits, but...cops do.

Dual. I love my RB catback and it seems everyone that has one does too.

M2 Dual, nicer Mature "No Rice" look to it! Nice low profile "sleeper/stock" look.

I will see if I can post a picture (tried, failed) of what happens if you let your muffler tips fall off and the hot gasses get to the bumper. I bought this car as a total. The rotten muffler caught the bumper on fire. The fire went through the antenna drain port in the fender well up into the antenna compartment then into the hatchback area where it burned through the rear harness and melted some of the Boze piping and the side panel.

However, this muffler condition may have been going on for a while since I found ear plugs hanging from the rear view mirror.

At any rate, I installed a RB Dual Tip Cat Back and like the purr and looks.

I think the big single exhaust tips look Ricey.

If you are making 400 hp or more, then they can be justified. Anything less and it's just RICE! IMHO!

well what if my car makes that much power and i need a gt spec.... and what if i bought the gt spec before i had that much power because i thought it was dumb to buy two different exhaust because i didnt want to look "RICEY" on a JAPANESE CAR!!! and what if i kept saying WHAT IF!!!!!! its mind boggling the amount of what ifs i could come up with. like remember in superman4 or something where he stops the world from spinning and then spins it in reverse making time go backwards. but wouldnt stopping the earth from spinning stop gravity and then make everybody fly into space and die. also in our hypothetical "what if" scenerio wouldnt superman be sucked backwards in time also thereby not being able to spin the earth into reverse .... what if...

Just because the car is from Japan doesn't mean it is RICEY! The real Ricey cars are the Hondas, Cavaliers, and Neons with stickers everywhere, a big wing, Neon lights, ridicilious wheels/tires, and a Big Fart Can on back.

So, to many people that are clueless, putting one of those Big Fart Cans on a RX7 looks Ricey!

HDP, Hey its Mike from Huntsville! I have the RB single. If I was doing it again I might go with the dual just because of the stock look. But then again I do not think my car looks stock lowered and after market wheels. Both are great choices for the buck. I saw a dual on ebay a few days ago.. If you want to stop by and here mine feel free. DP, MP and rd single. The guy you meet last week, JASON has the dual on his r-1.

"but wouldnt stopping the earth from spinning stop gravity and then make everybody fly into space and die"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

If it weren't FOR gravity, everyone would fly into space and die BECAUSE the Earth spins!!!

Physics! It's your friend
