Exedy clutch questions

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about getting an Exedy clutch (either Hyper Single or Dcore Double) but I have a question about the flywheel mounting. I keep reading that the clutch kits come with some flywheel bolts. So my questions:

1. Do those bolts hold the flywheel to the engine?
2. If yes, is the flywheel nut needed?
3. If no, what are those bolts for?

Thanks!

- Andy

I've never installed a clutch, but my hypersingle is laying under my bed right now, and I do know what bolts you are talking about. I think they bolt up the engine. I know it doesn't come with a tb, pb, pb seal, or a counter weight, so you have to get that too.

you are going to need a counter weight for the rear of the engine to balance it out. The Flywheel then bolts onto the counter weight. Yo will need an atomatic counter weight. Any Rotary shop will know what you need when you've purchased clutches like these.
BTW, I had to do this with my twinplate.

1. ckutch and flywheel are bolted to the trans' (not engine)
2. not shure what nut you are refering to?

* Twin plate is not needed unless you are 400ft lbs or more of torque.
* Auto' counterweight is needed and not included.
* Other parts should be replaced upon install.
