EXCELLENT radiator/fan/ducting test

A buddy of mine with an SR-powered 240sx hooked me up with this link -

http://home.satx.rr.com/silviaweb/radiator_test.htm

These guys got a multi-channel datalogger and a bunch of temp probes and tested various aftermarket radiators, fans, ducting, etc. Real interesting results and I think a lot of the results and information apply to the FD.

I swear, if I ever won the lottery, I'd be doing stuff like this every weekend .

Especially needed when you have a FMIC.

It doesn't apply to FD's as much, but as an ex-FC owner I can appreciate the electric fan comparison. That's something that's not really well tested or documented, and it's good to see.

It's also interesting to note the differences between the radiators - they all really cool as well, but the larger ones cool better during full-throttle bursts.

Check out CCarlisi's web site or search for a thread by him. He did something interesting routing the air under the FMIC.
