Question everyone have different idea on intake system

wassup people.

i was gonna make my own intake system w/ K&N filter using my hard piping, and make heat shield designed by damian. n i thought itll b better than apexi, blitz intake system(my own opinion).
i was thinking.....even if i have intake system w/ heat shield n everything u can do to get cold air. but if i have stock intercooler.......i <~(yea I) think its not gonna do anygood,..(remember thats juss my opinion).

so how about this......stock air box, k&n filter , racing beat air inlet duct, and design some kind of piping that u can connect on intercooler(where hot air goes in, u knoe that square whole) n set piping where u can get most cold air.(like some where behind bumper)

man sound stupid??!! i dont know. juss trying to think of hella stuff mod my FD w/ out spending too much $

my point- intake kit is not gonna work too good if u have stock intercooler (its juss what I think :p)

so what do u guys think about my stupid idea??

Colder air is never a bad idea.

For the rest of it, just save up money so you can upgrade your IC. That would be much better in the long run than hacking up your hood and bumper to try and increase the efficiency of the stock IC.

There is no reason to fab up an intake or buy one if you are still using the stock IC. Just do the cheap-bastard or poor man's intake mod with a K&N filter. The IC gets plenty of cold air from the front of the car, as does the stock intake box (with the RB duct or with the cheap-bastard mod).
