Ever get ticketed for illegal headlights?

There is a group buy on for sleek headlights.

Price looks good to me and the quality - as far as I can see from the pictures looks excellent too.

So, if you have sleeks on your FD, have you ever been ticketed for that? If so, in what state was the ticket issued?

you shouldnt have any problems with sleek headlights. I have never heard of anyone getting ticketed for illegal lights. the funny thing, is the cop prolly wont know the difference between them and stock since most of them dont know what it is anyways. I say go for it.

If the cop is able to tell the difference AND still want to write you up a ticket the lights will be the least of your worries LOL

I've got the C-West's on my 7 and no cops ever cared about em, but I havent ogtten pulled over yet either, if I do... Im screwed anyway :P

If you feel nervous just make sure the lights are DOT approved so you can say, but officer they are approved by the DOT!

I think all they'd really care about is brightness.

And, arent they safer than the flip-ups for pedestrians? lol...

I think as long as the lamps are dot approved as headlights (this rules out the cwest and similar kits that use fog lights, but not the RE kit), are mounted according to the law (in front of front axle, from 21 to 54 inches from the ground), and aimed correctly, that it is completely legal.
