Hi enthusiasts and gurus,

I have an intermittent problem where from start, the car will accelerate and when it hits a certain RPM, the engine surges. This does this throughout the gears at this range.

To get rid of the problem, I'll pull the car over and turn it off for 30 seconds or so and when I restart, it's usually fine again. I won't encounter this problem if the car was running ok from start, and being an intermittent problem, I may experience it next time I start the car or a month from now.

The error code the scan tool has come up with is 45 which is the charge control valve. Can anyone with knowledge of, or who has experienced this fault lead me to which valve I'm looking for (exact position), or what color solenoid I'm looking for?


Any pictures or diagrams would be much appreciated.
