Question engine swap

hi....i want to do an engine swap in my second gen for a third gen engine but heres the story. i can get the engine for pretty cheap but i am not sure about 1 thing. how efficient would the twin turbos and engine run if there are no vaccum hoses at all? i would just put the eccentials under the hood to make it run.

Hmm.Well the twin turbos need all 60 plus vacuum lines to function. So it wouldnt be a good swap unless you also went with a single turbo upgrade. In which case you would have maybe 5 or 6 vacuum lines.Hope this helps.A new turbo will run you about 3000 grand.

You can run the turbos in non-sequential mode. It's debatable if that is "more efficient" or not. It'll be basically like running a single turbo, so you'll lose the benefit of the quicker boost of the sequential system. However, you'll have less vacuum lines to deal with, so it just depends on what you want for the car.

With the stock sequential system, most people see full boost around 2500 rpms verses around 4000 rpms of the non-seq.
