engine swap

If finally happened, coolant seal (pressure in cooling system)Well,it was actually my fault as I overheated it,so I can only blame myself. After a week of talks with various Mazda dealers decided to go with local S&S Mazda, mostly because I will avoid core charge (the engine gets delivered and old one taken),and the price
Anyway, before it happened,I did block of plate job and vac.simplification at the same time and the car semed to run too rich and rough at idle I am sure I did not screw up anything as I went through the set up many times(put resistors in place of unnecesary solenoids)The ECU did not throw any codes.
My question is:with modsthat I have(petit ECU,DP,CB,GreddySMIC,vac.pump out ,egr blocked,ASV blocked...)isn't it gonna run too rich ,rough at idle?
I do not know if I should keep this set up or go back to factory set up (solenoids,emissions...)
Since I am getting a short block it would be easy to go either way, just have to decide which,
Also,my factory knock sensor is melted(yes I know)
so I was thinking to go with J+S ,did go through forum but you guys have different opinion.Since I already have Petit ECU,I am not gonna go for apexi PFC.
Thnx for any opinions.

I would think that you will want a adjustable ECU or a piggy back, so you can dial in the idle mixture and the other ranges as well. Maybe get a used PFS-PMS and piggy back to your ECU .
