Engine Rebuilds

Hey Guys!
My FD has 84,700 miles on it. It has started smoking more than usual under hard acceleration, so I think it's near the time for a rebuild. I do plan on going single turbo, but probably just a T04, and keep it low boost until I get a major fuel system. I plan on using the Apexi PFC + commander to control it. So I'm not looking for a major motor, I'm a little short on money (being a student) and I plan on doing my mods over time. Street porting would be nice, but not necessary. Who do you suggest I get to rebuild my engine? Should I just go with a $2,000 Mazda re-man? Thanks!

You're running all of those mods. with no ECU upgrade?? If so you are on the way to a rebuild. How much boost are you running??

Hey Ted!
It's me, Peter (ulsteenp@hotmail.com). I haven't heard from ya in awhile, am I still on the club mailing list? Anyway, I don't know whether or not the previous owner changed the ECU, the only mods that affect the engine are the intake, catback, and midpipe. The flywheel doesn't really change much, just revs quicker. My boost guage just shows a max boost of 13 psi, not that high. Anyway, that oil thing was a false alarm, it's not doing it anymore, I had my I/C hoses off and my friend spilt oil in the convoluted part (jackass!)! haha She's running strong, but I still want to know where I should get a rebuild. I've heard good things about KD Rotary www.kdrotary.com . Later!
