engine rebuild mods

I know about the coolant mod, they cut little fins in the coolant passages.
But what are the oil mods, how are they done, and what is the benefit. My mechanic said the only one he knows about is the eccentric shaft mod. Isn't there more? What is needed foe the eccentric shaft mod?

I would remove the thermal pellet in the E-shaft nose. Just removes one more thing to go wrong.
Check your oil pump against factory spec.
I know some people shim the oil pressure relief valve, but making more oil pressure over what's needed is just wasted HP
