well i hear it is "easier" to pull the engine with the tranny cause when u put it back in its a Biatch to line up the engine with the tranny while the tranny is in the car. So maybe in the end it would save you time.

I've probably R&R more FD engine than MOST the people on this forum and I can tell you, if you have any clue as to what you're doing it is way faster and easier to not pull the tranny.

No way, it's easy! Jack up the front of the trans, lower the motor into the transmission and it should slide right in, may take some jiggling, then have it held into the trans while someone puts the bolts in through the transmission into the motor.

That information is obviously by people who have no idea what they are doing.

Update
Hey guys, i finally got the engine to the builder about 1 week ago, and it was transported using my beautiful 1st gen 1982 rx7. i was a little ekepticle at first if it would fit, but sure enough, it sure did! When i got it to the shop, there was a bit of a hassle to get it out, we had to take off the rear window hatch, and lay it on the roof, and pick it that way. But other then that, it was quite the fun drive, with the FD engine in the back of the 1st gen.
And yes i have pics -- Also got my prosprt gauges, Boost, EGT and Fuel Press. I have Water and just bought a AEM UGEO wideband off a forum member just recently, so those should be trailing in here soon.
Getting so close, im just getting nervous of putting everything back together again, all those vac lines . But i printed out that huge vac line diagram, so with some patients, hopefully wont be too bad. Iam estimating 1 week when i recive the engine back the car should be runing good as new. i hope. haha
And yes heres the pics
thanks guys,
-Mark

Well im using Truck bedliner spray i got from Canadian tire, it works great, Just make sure you hold th can about 10-12 inches from the plastic, and do fast streaking sprays. If you don't do fast streaking sprays, you will get big lumps of the truck bed liner on the plastic( i found out the hard way, then i needed to sand truck bedliner off my plastic ) so learn from my mistakes. Its called "Dupli-Color Truck Bed Coating" Should be able to grab it at any auto parts store i would imagine.
And i have a HKS super dragger 3 inch cat back, sounds alright, i want to change it, it came on the car when i bought it.
And yes that is a Fender Ultimate Chorus Twin Amp, she pounds i tell ya! You play guitar crcleofdst?
Just hold on a bit ill post pics of the Gauges out of the box. There very high quality, and come with everything incl. the sensor, and a visor and mounting Brackets. I love em. Give me 1 hour and ill have em up skir2222.

if i remember correctly it was about 280 Shipped to my door. i Did the group buy and got 15% off though!
But still all 3 gauges are worth one defi gauge. And these use the same tech as the defi.

Yes thats the reason why I like these gauges, reminds me of the defi gauges, and matches stock gauge cluster. They are affordable and they back up there product!
