Engine pull

I started pulling my engine this afternoon. Didnt really do much. My next step is to pull the wire harness through the firewall.

This is going to be a big task for me. Im 17 and this is only the second time for me to do major work on the car.(pulled the transmision). I will have some help from my dad but ill probobly do alot of the work myself. Ive gotten some help on what to look out for from a couple of people, but anything any1 posts will be helpfull.

its easy, im 17 as well, i just took my engine out. about a week ago.

just disconnect the ecu, unbolt the thing that holds the wires down, then i think theres something in the engine bay but i forgot, then just pull it threw, becareful though because there will be some things connected to it in the dash, so just pull it slowly.
good luck

make sure to disconnect the transmission from the engine correctly, instructions are in the transmission part of the manual, if you don't do it right you can ruin your pilot bearing,

oh, and getting the wiring harness back through the firewall when you put the motor back in is a bitch

don't forget to disconnect the oil lines going into the oil cooler, and don't loose the clips

Thanks for the tips.
The thing is Im basically the only person with a FD around here that has done their own work. So I have now one close by that can lend me a hand.

Where can I get new vaccum hoses the cheapest? Ive looked through all the rx7 based sites but can I get it cheaper some1 else?

Thanks

Np anything else feel free. Im basically overhauling alot of **** thats needs it on my FD. **** people never even think of so feel free. BTW dont forget to change gaskets this is VERY important.

Throttle Body Gasket N3A1-13-655

Throttle Body O-Ring N390-13-W69

Extension Manifold Gasket N3A1-13-112

Air Control Valve Gasket N3A3-13-996

Im pretty sure those are it. They all should be metal.
