Engine Oil

I just bought another FD and the person who owned it before me was using redline synthetic oil in it. I always heard that synthetic should not be used in rotaries .....is this true and should i convert back to regular motor oil or is synthetic ok...... i would greatly appreciate the help if anyone can make some suggestions
