ENGINE install
I am buying a new engine from Mazda to install in my blown car. Me and a mechanic friend of mine are doing it. He's got all the tools, hoists, etc. Any suggestions on an easy way of doing it? We plan on leaving all the accessories and tranny on, removing the apexi fmic and radiator and just pulling it out. Any suggestions????
Thanks

By the manual is probably the best. I did mine by leaving the tranny in but it was much more difficult to align the tranny with the engine. You have to leave the AC and PS in the car.

I just removed mine a few weeks ago and left the auto tranny in the car. Hardest part I found was to remove the harness from inside the car and fish it out from behind the ABS pumps. If Manual, it is probably much better to pull engine and tranny together, or drop tranny out and pull engine separately. I left all AC and PS in tact.

well to be honest if i had to do it again i would pull the motor, tranny, downpipe all at once!! but if it is your first time i would pull the motor out, but pull the tranny first. the harness is a pain be careful you can **** those baked wires up easy!! ryan
