Engine has been sitting for a year, UNSTARTED
I am pretty sure I know what im doing in this situation, but wanted to check with you guys on this.
I rebuilt my engine around april or may last year, went to start it and the microtech was dead. So it has been spun over a few times since then, but no fuel has cycled through yet. It probably has the grease I used to rebuild it on all the corner seals and side seals, etc.
Should I do anything to it? Prime it with a little oil through the plug holes? I have premixxed the fuel, but its been sitting since the rebuild or before... Probably have to drain the tank...
Hopefully my microtech has at least a basic tune left on it when it comes back from australia so i can at least put some miles on it... Once its started.
i swear if it doesnt work now... I'll be completely one with 7s forever. ive had an FD of some sort for 10 yrs and this new one is the nightmare of all nightmares.

Agreed. You end up with so much lubricant in the motor that the internals will be fine. Building oil pressure first is an excellent idea, and one that should be followed when fresh starting ANY new motor.
