Engine Harness questions
So, I'm thinking of trading my bike for this guy's rx-7 by the name of Cory something on this site. The only thing is, he's engine harness just fried and will need to get new or used working condition harness get the car running and etc. How hard would this be to install and does this sound like a long headache ahead of me if I do the trade???

You need to find out which harness, and why it fried. There are many reasons why an FD won't run, and IMO you're taking a big risk assuming it's only the harness. (Although replacing the harness is a very good thing for long-term reliability). If the engine is blown, and someone conveniently altered the harness to prevent cranking, you can see where I'm going...
The emission engine harness (the one generally called the "engine harness" here) is about $700 new, or $200-400 used. To replace that one requires removal of the TB, UIM, alternator, oil filler neck, vacuum tank (to access the crank sensors), ignition coils, ACV, and rats nest. It's about a full day's job if you are doing it for the first time and have no major issues. It's the kind of job you might want to bundle injector cleaning, solenoid testing, vacuum hose replacement, OMP feeder lines, replacing a few coolant hoses while you're in there.
You can find a used harness on the for sale forum.

offer to pay him a more than fair amount of money if he installs the new harness for you. If he starts making excuses why he wouldn't be able to then I'd be very skeptical
I mean if it were only the engine harness you'd have to be pretty sick of working on your 7 to take the significant loss in resale rather than put the couple hours of work into it
