engine harness (where to buy?)

Does anyone know where I can get a wiring harness besides paying an arm-and-a-leg through a Mazda dealer? I need the one that goes between the ECU and engine.

you must get a membership with Mazdacomp...then you can buy them for about $450.

Else try mazdaformance or last resort the Forum...maybe some folks going to Haltech fuel management.

Malloy Mazda quoted me $596.00. $450 is doable, how do I sign up for Mazdacomp?

Ouch.... $596 is quite a bit. Please let us know what you come up with; with who and how you got the best deal.

I may need a new one as well. Can you buy just the ECU side of the harness since my other half is in good condition? Also, is anyone here a member to that Mazdacomp thing that could buy me one if I paid you?

Thanks,
Scott

Mazdaspeed Motorsports Development www.mazdamotorsports.com has the best price on a main wiring harness; but as someone already mentioned, you MUST BE RACER with submitted race results to qualify for stock parts discounts...

Try Mazdaformance. They're an Rx7 Forum advertiser, and might get you a better deal?

$2000!

Jesus Christ! I would be stealing babies and selling them on the black market to bay that bill. I've only had to do that once to pay for parts, but that is a time in my life I prefer not to talk about.

You're mistaken buddy. There are 3 different harnesses; I should know. Click on the pic in my signature and you'll see I rewired the whole car myself. The one that's $2000 is the main front harness, not the engine harness that goes to the ECU.

You may want to throw in a coil harness too, about $60-80 depending on where you buy. I got a good deal from SRMotorsports when I bought my engine and coil harness a year ago.
