Embarrassing question about door locks
So what is the deal with the door locks in an FD? Are they power or not?
Everything I have read states that there are power locks, but I don't see a switch anywhere in the car to lock or unlock them. Also, how does an alarm work without a key fob? I think we had a 96 corvette at one point that had an alarm and it went off if you didn't open the car properly or something. Is this a similar system?
I have to ask this because my car is a roller and I don't have a battery in it yet, but I'm really interested to know how they work

There is a level like handle on both sides of the car. Both of them usually close as soon as you hit the drivers side handle, and as soon as you lock the door and whatever else is open the car makes a noise and the alarm is then on. If the alarm goes off you get out and turn the key in your door.

The passenger door has a motor so it opens/closes along with the driver door.
If you want to install a remote/alarm to unlock the doors you will also need to install an extra motor in the driverside door. There isn't much room for it but it can be done.
