Electrical Short - DRL

Weird short I am having....

After installing leds for the DRL in the turn signals, with the key on position, there is a small enough current (short?) going through to light up the led (dim). I'll measure the current/voltage tomorrow.

Any suggestions in trouble shooting this issue?

Thanks,
Robert

really depends how you have them wired up as to the draw.

for example, if i hold one end of the power wire off the battery and the other wire off a LED strip the current through my body will light up a strip of 20 LEDs dimly, so your draw may be well within reason but lights still on dimly if they can draw even nearly an immeasurable amount of amperage.

When I mean DRL, I meant the 5W bulb in the turn signal housing... Or is that just the parking lights?

But, you could still be right I did load one side with an led that draws more current (turned on, but dim), and the other side (lower current drawing led) turned off. I should measure the current flowing through it and verify the current draw.

Thanks Ben!

So, I tested it and it seems to be getting 5-7 volts depending if I lower or raise the dim settings. ~110ma are going through it as well .
