Electrical Prob, this happ to anyone?
So i just dropped in the motor.
Turned it on (best feeling EVER after 7 months) for 2 sec something sparked on the ignition harness so i had to shut if off =(
We took off the elbow to look at the harness and the wire going from the powersteering pump to the harness was totally fried. This arc caused the jumper cables to get real hot as well
Then we put a voltmeter on the positive connection to the battery and the negative and there was connection between the 2 somewhere. so thats the problem
Does anyone have any idea where this could happen in the ignition harness? Has anyone had this problem? We're having trouble locating where the 2 are connecting.

well im sure the sensor did short. But what i was saying is...do you know the battery connections, the positive and negative. We put the volt meter on both and they are making a connection, and so when we plugged the battery in, it just heated up. Thats what im guessing what happend.
so not really sure where the negative could be connecting to a positive, so im asking if this has been a problem for anyone else so i know where to look on where this switch up could have happend. Or is engine block not properly grounded?
