Electrical prob, this happen to anyone?
So i just dropped in the motor.
Turned it on (best feeling EVER after 7 months) for 2 sec something sparked on the ignition harness so i had to shut if off =(
We took off the elbow to look at the harness and the wire going from the powersteering pump to the harness was totally fried. This arc caused the jumper cables to get real hot as well
Then we put a voltmeter on the positive connection to the battery and the negative and there was connection between the 2 somewhere. so thats the problem
Does anyone have any idea where this could happen in the ignition harness? Has anyone had this problem? We're having trouble locating where the 2 are connecting.

?? You mean you read zero volts where you should read 12+ volts? Your battery is dead, if so. Or do you mean you measured RESISTANCE between the positive and negative battery LEADS when they are OFF the battery, which would indicate a short circuit?
