Electric BS

aight my interior lights and radio do not work what so ever...i thought it could be grounding then i believe i read tapping your temp gauge into the throttle body hose can cause grounding issues (?) is this my problem or is it something else? another issue im having is my after market gauges....when the car is not on, the lights on the gauges come on...when the car is on, but the lights are off, the lights on the gauges come on...when i turn the parking lights on, the gauge lights come on, but when i turn the headlights on, the gauge lights turn off, and the temp gauge is not reading, it just sits at "0"...if anyone can help i appriecate it cuz im sick of driving in silence and not being able to monitor my temps accuratly

installing a temp sender into the TB coolant line has nothing to do with your int. lights but may be why the gauge is not working, if you have a single wire temp. sender you will need to ground it. As far as the rest of the problems, it sounds as if it is just wired incorrectly. Go over your work.

Since you have Greddy gauges, they have a 2-wire sender - they don't need to be grounded. That's not your problem there.

Biggest issue is just how the gauges are wired up. You need to find a better illumination source to tap the gauge's illumination wire up to. Do some searching - gauge wiring has been covered ad infinitum. Also, with the Greddy gauges, you HAVE to hook the wires up properly - there should be a 12v always on wire, a 12v switched wire, ground, and 12v illumination. You can't cheat and hook the 2 12v input wires to one switched source or something - hook it up right.

If your radio and interior lights went out at the same time i would guess you have a blown fuse. Get a test light and go through the fuses.

As far as hooking up your aftermarket gauge lights I would suggest plugging into a power source of somthing that turns on when the headlights come on. I forgot what i used but i think it was in the center console lighting.

iv checked all the fuses and there fine...so is this a grounding issue?

for the gauges, they have 4 different wires...12v power, grounding, ignition, and parking lights..iv hooked all of them up except for the parking lights...maybe thats why they come on backwards of what they should..but that still doesnt explain why it wont read temps?

This is just a simple electronic problem. You need to get a multimeter and make sure what wires you tapped into are correct. Re-read my above post about hooking up the Greddy gauges.
