electical system experts!!!

hi everyone..was wondering if any you electrical experts can figure out why the entire dash lights are not working and the entire rear lights are not working... i check all the fuses and the most common grounds.. anyone got any ideas or leads?

Steve,

Check the headlight relay by the fuse box under the hood. If that isn't it then check the headlight switch itself.

When you say dash lights are you refering to the backlights for the guages and the AC pannel? The ones that come on with the headlights? If so make sure the dimmer switch for the guages is connected properly. If it is then get ahold of a multimeter and check the output to that connector (3 pins one ground, one Battery, the other somewhere in between)

Rear lights, either the harness on the drivers side that runs from the front to the back or a ground at the back.
Again with the mulitmeter check and make sure you have Battery volatge at the + terminal of the bulb. Check the - is grounded at the same time.
