EGT Sensor works but Gauge doesn't? WTF?

I have an Apexi EGT Gauge w/Sensor (duh) lol. Anyway, the gauge needle doesn't move at all... I thought the sensor had gone bad. So I'm driving and slowly taking the car all the way to redline.. and I hold i at 7500RPM for about 5-10 seconds and I watch my EGT light start flashing. It doesn't do that until it reaches a certain temperature and lets me know the EGT's are getting too high. Well that pretty much tells me my sensor is working, and my gauge is not. Wondering if anyone has had a gauge crap out on them, but the sensor still works. I don't feel like spending $250 on a gauge replacement. =/

try contacting Apexi and letting them know the problem; they may have a fix.

So call them up and tell him the gauge is faulty.

Im sure you have to send the gauge to them first before they confirm it is a factory defect and send you another one free of charge.
